FITTING INSTRUCTIONS- For proper fitment please watch the video going over our 1800 cubic inch backpack. Important notes are below.
To fit the hip belt, the user needs to loosen the shoulder straps until the hip belt is in the small of your back. The belt should be at a slight downward angle and the buckle should connect where you would normally connect a pant belt. Tighten the belt so that the top of the hip belt is just above your hip bone. Now tighten the shoulder straps until you feel both the hip belt and shoulder straps are comfortable to your personal preference. The bottom of the shoulder straps (female buckle end) should be several inches below your armpit. Connect the sternum strap between the two shoulder straps. The sternum strap should be approximately 1" below your collar bone. The sternum strap should not be overly tight. It is designed to keep the shoulder straps away from your shoulder joints (toward the center of the clavicle). Adjust the straps at the top of your shoulder straps in order to move the top of the pack toward, or away, from your upper back depending on preference and comfort.
Repeat the above process anytime you load your pack
The internal frame is designed to form with the curve of your spine. Take the internal frame out of your backpack and form it to your personal preference. Note, our frames are built with two aluminum rods, so this process may be taxing and take some strength. This may seem excessive, but the frame protects your back! If you have trouble forming your internal frame let us know.

Best backpack, not even close!
This is not my first T&K item, so I’m not shocked at all with how well this pack is designed and constructed. The detail around stitching, practical features, quality of materials and overall design is just amazing! The fit is incredibly comfortable and sturdy enough to pack some weight. While this pack is aesthetically very good looking, it is even more practical - clearly designed for use in the field by people who are actually out in the field.
Best piece of field gear I’ve ever owned
Fantastic piece of gear that I’ve used several times on short overnight hikes with my two German Shepherd pups. Quality is second to none and it’s great to see American entrepreneurs prosper through hard work and exceeding customer’s expectations for gear made in the USA . I will be a repeat customer!
Exceed my expectations
This pack and all of the gear that I have order have exceeded my expectations. Incredible gear and incredible customer service
Planning on using a day pack for deer hunting. The first use was as a hiking pack and was comfortable. Very good quality.
